Coffee Libre
A story overflowing in every cup of coffee
[A meticulously crafted work of art in a cup] Korea's first Q-grader (international coffee grader), and World Roasters Cup Champion for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013, Seo Pil-hoon, CEO of Coffee Libre, travels the world to find good green beans. For him, coffee is a work of art. As such, he spares no effort in roasting, drying, or extracting the green beans he has painstakingly sought out. Coffee Libre, which strives for perfect roasting that considers all conditions, primarily uses large Probat roasters from Germany. The 45kg semi-hot air large roaster significantly enhances the flavor of the beans with its strong heat. Additionally, only products that have passed cupping, which evaluates the aroma, taste, and aftertaste of coffee, are presented to customers, ensuring strict quality control. [Good Coffee that Dreams of Sustainable Development] Coffee Libre pursues coffee with a story, coffee with a face. They directly visit farms and observe coffee cherries, communicate with producers, and ponder how to infuse these stories into a single cup of coffee. They always pay a fair price for the high-quality green beans cultivated through the dedication and hard work of farmers. This allows producers to farm with pride, and they, in turn, strive to provide even better quality coffee to Coffee Libre. Through ample communication, they have built a strong relationship of trust. Coffee Libre is also dedicated to supporting coffee-producing regions. They have supported girls' schools in the Araku region of India every year, and since 2014, they have sponsored three farms in Costa Rica and a kindergarten in the Marcala region of Honduras. Coffee Libre dreams of a sustainable development relationship where pickers in these regions can continue to produce high-quality green beans. They aim to fulfill their social responsibility, however small, for the better lives and happiness of these communities.
