Grown in highland areas for rich flavor and aroma
2 types of Korean Pyeongchang Pine Nuts
These are Pyeongchang pine nuts, grown in highland areas with large temperature differences, resulting in large, flavorful kernels. We have prepared two types: Hwangjat (yellow pine nuts), which retain their inner skin and germ for a rich aroma, and Baekjat (white pine nuts), which are clean and versatile for any dish.
Pine nuts grown in Pyeongchang highlands,
deepening in flavor and aroma.
There's a new rising origin for pine nuts. It's the highland area of Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, which receives more sunlight, and more abundantly, than other soils. Located at an altitude of over 700m, it experiences large daily temperature differences, and it is within this gap that the flavor and aroma of the pine nuts are deepened. This is because larger temperature differences lead to more pine resin in the pine cones, allowing the pine scent to penetrate deeply into the nuts.

with a deeper flavor and aroma.
There is a new emerging pine nut producing region. It is the Pyeongchang-gun highlands in Gangwon-do, where pine nuts receive more sunlight, earlier and more abundantly, than in other soils. Located at an altitude of over 700m, the area experiences significant daily temperature fluctuations, which deepens the flavor and aroma of the pine nuts. This is because larger temperature differences lead to more resin in the pine cones, infusing the pine nuts with a rich pine scent.
